Is Jesus your favorite carb?!
Here’s a recipe to whet your appetite for the Living Bread!
Bread of Life
What a tremendous metaphor! Exploring the depth of it never fails to challenge and inspire me.
Growing to know the Bread of Life, Jesus, more and more is the whole purpose of my existence.
I love it!
I enjoy it!
I look forward to it!
My relationship with Jesus is the foremost relationship in my life and it infiltrates every single aspect of how I live and think. This brings me such steadiness – such identity – such peace, joy, security and hope.*
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the twelve Disciples, the Apostle Paul and Peter – all Biblical heroes – enjoyed bread as a daily food. Jesus is likened to the only Bread that satisfies. This specifically symbolizes the benefit of a not-just-church-on-Sunday connection time with Jesus. It points to relationship! And…
It’s impossible to have relationship without fellowship
That’s one reason why Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:11, “Give us this day our daily bread.” He wants us to feast with Him daily.
When we read the Bible, when we talk to God in prayer, when we consider what God says and obey it, when we acknowledge Him first in all we do, we are living in relationship with Jesus. We are savoring that dietary staple we so desperately need, the Bread of Life!
Let’s welcome Jesus into our lives as our daily bread
Jesus came to show you the Heavenly Father, who happens to delight in spending time with you, hearing you express your thoughts, concerns and joys to Him!
Heres a “recipe,” so to speak, to help you learn how to practice having an everyday relationship with Jesus. You can look up these ingredients (verses) in your Bible or on your Bible App.
Spending time with Jesus is not as high and lofty as you might think! You can approach Him yourself…anytime and anyplace!
