Tips for finding what you need from freedom-loving small businesses who make their items in the USA!
Given the number of messages asking, “Where do you find this or that?” or “I don’t want to shop there anymore; did you see what they support?!”, it seems I’m not alone in my quest to shop small and locally.
Why This Matters:
Money talks. Bubbling to the surface is the shocking reality that stores I commonly shopped pre-2020 endorse things that I don’t condone. Allocating our dollars is a sensitive, personal choice, and my heart is for us to not judge others in their decisions. Rather, I hope we can all endeavor to seek the Lord for His direction, and peacefully travel the path He highlights.
For your peace of mind, company recommendations are personally vetted – both the company and product – to ensure my high standards are met.
As a steward of the resources God’s given my family, I want to support business owners who value what He values: life and liberty!
Prayer Points:
My marketing coach, Janis, at Rocksteady Marketing, shared a nugget of wisdom about this situation, “We really need to find and publicize alternatives (to big box shopping). God created innovation and creativity. May He show us a way to do this.”
Let’s pray for God to give His children witty inventions, keen business acumen, strategic investors, and diligence to follow through with whatever He says!
Amen to that!
“I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
Proverbs 8:12
“I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works…to work in all manner of workmanship.” Exodus 31:3-5
My Ultimate Shopping Guide for Healthy, Happy Christians is a living document. As I learn more about a store’s financial contributions and endorsements, I will amend the list. The goal is progress, not perfection, so check back often for updates! Oh, and check for coupon codes interspersed throughout!

Meat and Seafood
The fine folks at Holy Cow Beef are my good friends, they’re prayer warriors! Depending on location, they deliver or ship their grass-fed and finished beef, pastured chicken and pork, eggs, cheese and shrimp. This is my source for GAPS Diet, AIP, Candida, and Keto ingredients for meat stock.
Thrive Market is middle-ground as far as Made in America and conservatism goes. But, we’re going for better, not best so I include it in my Ultimate Guide for Healthy, Happy Christian Shoppers. As stated above, Thrive offers frozen meats and seafood plus a wide assortment of groceries. Use this link Thrive Market to get a $20.00 shopping credit.

Household
Mike Lindell’s the MAN! God radically delivered Mike from a drug addicted life and planted his feet on the Rock! It makes me smile to shop for pillows, towels, and bed sheets from this true, American patriot.
Like Thrive Market, Berkey is a “good, not best” company to support as far as conservative values go. However, their company is kind and they provide high quality water and shower filters. I’ve used Berkey for ~10 years and don’t regret it! Shop using this link: Berkey Water and Shower Filters.
Why cook organic food in toxic cookware? Non-stick, cast iron, and low-quality stainless steel leach undesirable chemicals into food and the air. Xtrema, a Christian, family business, meets a need for healthy eaters! I like their 10 inch skillet with lid, but you might like their wok and baking pans! Shop using this link: Xtrema Cookware.

Saunas are big ticket items so it was important to me to spend wisely. I vetted the options thoroughly, and even went as far as to call renowned integrative providers like Dr. Joel Fuhrmann and Dr. Julian Whitaker for their opinions. Amazingly, they replied! They, as well as Beth Israel Cancer Center, own and use Clearlight Jacuzzi Saunas for supporting detoxification, inflammation and pain relief. Weir’s Furniture has been in Texas for generations. If you happen to be near one, pop in and be sure to visit their charming Country Store!
- Janitorial and Restaurant Supply Stores
A tried-and-true patriotic friend shared the idea of shopping at local janitorial supply stores for bulk items such as toilet paper, trash bags and such. It might be smart to avoid their toxic cleaning products, though. You could find huge stock pots at a local restaurant supply which would be great for large batches of GAPS Diet meat stock!
Iconic Pyrex, Corelle, CorningWare and even Instant Pot, I’m in love with classics! I traded my fancy Pottery Barn dishes, made overseas, for Corelle Frost White dishes which are made in Corning, New York, USA! They make me happy.
Yard, Garden and City Homestead
Farmers and homesteaders lean on Tractor Supply for rugged yard care and animal husbandry needs. I like to look at the baby chicks! Even a city girl like me occasionally finds a use for Tractor Supply. They carry corn gluten meal and dried molasses, which make an effective, non-toxic lawncare “weed and feed.”
Atwood’s is similar to Tractor Supply. The main difference is that Atwood’s carries firearms, ammunition, hunting and gaming supplies.
Off Grid with Doug and Stacy, an off-grid homesteading YouTube channel I subscribe to, featured Lehman’s on an episode. It’s a fun site to shop (or store to visit) for products that harken to a simpler way of living and are made in the USA!
Services: Phone, Utilities, Entertainment
CHM is similar to health insurance and saves me tens of thousands of dollars! I’ve had zero issue with them covering allopathic medical treatment. Give them my Referral Member Number: 193666
It’s not AT&T (who donates to Planned Parenthood). ‘Nuff said! Switching from AT&T to Patriot Mobile slashed my monthly phone bill by 50%. When I joined, they prayed for me and mailed a Welcome Packet which included a copy of the United States Constitution! Tell Patriot Mobile Jessica Herrera at Well Made Wellness sent you!
The Chosen is a moving depiction of the Gospels and life of Christ. It brings the Scripture to life! You can click this link to learn how to watch it on your device: The Chosen
I’m sensitive to immorality, profanity and violence in movies. I can count on my fingers the number of secular movies I’ve seen in the last twenty years. Pure Flix is wholesome, family friendly and not your typical cheese-oh Christian entertainment. It’s high quality!

Heard of the Duggar Family? I’m a fan and from their show, I was introduced to the Bates Family. I was drawn to the Bates because, like Erin Bates Paine, I love playing solo hymn arrangements on the piano. Not long ago, the Bates sisters launched a modest women and girls clothing store!
Miscellaneous
It’s been special getting to know the creative entrepreneurs at Twelve Stone Art. They are solid in the Faith! Twelve Stone offers inspirational Scripture stones, unique Christian gifts, coasters, magnets and home décor. All are simple, yet impactful and really pretty. Give them a “hello” from me!
I want one of these hand-crafted wooden American Flags muy pronto! Brave American’s flags and crosses are rugged and rustic, but not overly so. They’re made in the USA by Veterans. Why would we not want to support our Veterans?
I’d love to hear about any additions you might have!

I love this list! Thank you for taking the time to research, put together, and share! I use many of the companies on the list but many I was unfamiliar with. So, I’m glad to have yet another resource as I, too, seek out wholesome, godly, local and American-made alternatives!
Hi, there; your comments put a smile on my face! I’m so glad the list helps you and if you find more resources, please share them for the benefit of all! God bless you and God bless our great nation. Thanks for reading my blog! With love and butter, Jessica
